Designer T-shirt Issue 3 - Aviator Tee!

Ever notice a sexy guy or girl in a pair of aviators...sunglasses, jet planes, movie stars...they just seem to go together, don't they?!

What is it about aviator sunglasses that make them the ultimate in cool?

Ray Ban specifically designed aviator style sunglasses in 1936. The new polarised lenses cut through glare and the famous teardrop shape provided maximum shielding for the pilots eyes, even when looking down at his instrument panel during battle.

But it wasnt until the 1960s that the aviators really became cool. Fashion icons James Dean and Marlon Brando were the youth rebellion and made aviators (just like tees!) the ultimate statement of cool.

Since then, aviator sunglasses and t shirts just seem to go together!

Next time you head out on the town, get out your party optics and select a pair of Maverick-makers to go with your favourite tee.

Once youre stylin' it up in aviators and a sexy tee, who knows what you'll get reflected in your mirrored lenses!

Chantelle is currently a student doing her Advanced Diploma in Graphic design + Mulitmedia, at CATC, The Rocks, Sydney.

That's where the Teesub Crew found her when she entered her "Aviator" design in our contest to find the best up and coming designers at Sydneys best art and design schools.

Chantelle's design won out of over 150 desgins submitted by CATC students.

We knew as soon as we saw it that Chantelle's design had "the right stuff" to be a Teesub tee! Chantelle says, "I'm passionate about graphic design and love to create hands-on designs!"

This t shirt is hot, so get one before they run out!
